With Nightfall comes the addition of Scourge Enchantment, and paired with Scourge Healing, it seems to have potential for making targets very painful to keep alive. I haven't seen much discussion on it, so has anyone tried running them during the preview event with any degree of success?

Scourge Healing is only ever used as a Heal Party counter. Since party guys are often well away from the battle and the monks, if you can make it painful for him to spam he's going to be able to spam a lot less. Since Heal Party is the greatest threat to degen teams, having this kind of counter is essential.

Scourge Enchantment has no such use. I guess it's in the game as a Dervish counter, but in practice I don't really see any use for it. It takes a lot of effort to make any dangerous hex stick. Some hexes are strong enough to make that effort worthwhile, but Scourge Sacrifice simply isn't one of them.

I think it really depend on how the metagame evolve.

If boon prot is being used all over the place again, it may be possible to use scourage enchantment to punish the monk (or as mentioned above, dervish enchants). Recent'y, blessed light had been quite popular as the choice of healing, which is somethng scourage enchantment won't do much against.

Healing seem to getting some of things they had been long dreaming of in Nightfall; mainly the faster casting of heal. If this happen, then scourage healing might be more used.

It is entirely possible of new backline emerging, and become popular that neither of these two can't punish. Or, something that turn out to be more effective than using these two to punish the opponent.

It is still up in the air.

Correction: Scourge Healing used to be for Heal Party alone, but in the current Blessed Light metagame, it's an effective way of reducing the effectiveness of Signet of Devotion, Gift and B-Light. Of course it's also for HP, but the Monks suffer, too.
Scourge Enchantment won't affect Aegis or such, so the effect is rather minimal. I doubt it will see lots of use.

A few nasty hex builds we have come up against (e.g. Library of Alexandria) run scourge in thier build not simply vs heal party but as extra pressure... and it really does hurt vs a hex heavy team. As for scourge enchantment....im not sure... it may be used but as said, it depends on the monk metagame
